We source 100% of our vegetables from small local farms. These relationships are the heart of our business. During peak production, we purchase up to 500 pounds of locally grown vegetables each week, reinvesting thousands of dollars annually back into farms right here in our region.
Our approach is intentionally small-batch and aggressively seasonal, which means we adapt our weekly production based on what our partner farmers have in abundance. This helps reduce food waste, supports farm sustainability, and ensures you're getting the freshest, most flavorful fermented vegetables possible.
Most of our farmers are certified organic. The rest practice organic methods but are too small to pursue certification. All of them use responsible, sustainable farming practices. They all deliver to Portland or attent the same markets we are at.Â
